The play Strange Ladies depicts a group of radical suffragists fighting for the right to vote as the US enters World War I. We will learn how this diverse group of women struggle to manage personal and political challenges to create social change. Period protest music weaves through the play, dramatizing the suffragists’ political strategies. First produced by Central Works in 2017, B8 produced Strange Ladies in 2019 and
now is remounting the show with its first full ensemble.
